JAPANESE COMPETITION IN SYDNEY

At the wool sales, 12,105 bales were offered and 10,351 were sold as well as 741 privately. There was general competition. Limited support came from Japanese buyers Good to bef' merino fleece and skirtings, also crossbreds, remained unchanged from the closing rates last week. Greasy merino made 22id. The average price of wool last week was £lB/7/1 a bale, or 14M a. lb.
