ELECTED TO VICTORIAN ASSEMBLY United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyright (Received October 5, 1.10 am.) MELBOURNE, October 4. The latest figures ensure the election to the Legislative Assembly of Mrs Clarence Webber,' the first woman member elected at any general election. Mrs Webber is the second woman to have a seat in the Victorian Parliament, the first being the late Lady Peacock, who succeeded to the seat of her husband, the late Sir Alexander Peacock, three years ago in a byelection. Mrs Webber defeated the United Australia Party retiring member and the Labour candidate, winning by 1500 votes.
