LONGEST DUEL
ENDS WITH EXHAUSTION OF COMBATANTS United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph—Copyright BUDAPEST, August 23. It is believed that the longest duel in history was fought by chief engineer Zboropjaj and Dr. Prueler, fencing expert. The duel lasted 21 hours. They used light cavalry sabres. Both were wounded e?-‘ in the combat, and again in the twelfth round, when the seconds wanted to stop the fight, which continued until the 51st round, when it was declared ended owing to exhaustion of the duellists. The duel originated over an argument at a meeting.
