DAMAGES AWARDED
ACCIDENT ON BRIDGE By Telegraph—Press Association GREYMOUTH, July 17. Damages totalling £62/8/3 were awarded by Mr R. Ferner, S.M., in the claim for £214/16/6 by Mrs Elizabeth Jane Anderson, against W. G. Frost, motor dealer. The claim arose from the collision of a car and truck on a one-way traffic bridge. The Magistrate held that the driver of defendant’s truck was negligent, and said: “As a bare proposition, I would say that any truck driver who ventures on a one-way bridge when a car or other vehicle is on such bridge, is’ guilty of negligence.”
