Messrs A. W. Gray and E. Spinner (Dunedin) are staying at the Dominion. Messrs J. R. Frame (Wellington) and M. Connors (Dunedin) are guests at the Balmoral. Messrs C. S. Elms (Hermitage) and R. W. Bidell (Wellington) are staying at the Grosvenor. Messrs R. P. Bruce. J. D. Hay (Dunedin) and H. C. Cook (Christchurch) are staying at the Grand. Mr A. Grant has joined the staff of the Fields Division of the Department of Agriculture, Tlmaru. The Rev. G. V. Kendrick is retiring from his charge at Upper Hutt and intends returning to England. Mr C. F. A. Waters, who has been relieving supervisor at the Palmerston North Post Office for the last five years, has been advised of his Impending transfer to Wellington, where he will act as commercial agent. Mr W. A. Sutherland, secretary of the Automobile Association (Wellington), will leave for Great Britain and the United States of America toward the end of the year, to gain knowledge of the activities and administration of automobile associations there. Messrs A. M. Taylor, T. Capstick, D. McKendry, T. Kingsbeer, J. S. Blackler, O. R. Blackler (Ashburton), E. G. Nicholls (Auckland), J. H. Gill. G. W. Davidson, G. Gibbons, H. N. Scrimshaw, G. A. Gunderson, R. W. Davies, F. Chevrall (Wellington). R. Mac Gibbon, D. W. Adams and A. H. Carroll (Christchurch) are staying at the Empire. The resignation of Colonel J. J. Esson from the Great War Funds Administrative Committee of the Order of St. John and the New Zealand Red Cross Society, advised by the Dominion Secretary of the Order of St. John, was received with regret at the monthly meeting of the committee. Dr. Graham Robertson has been appointed his successor.
