When the Milk Marketing Board (England) started three years ago many farmers who took part in the scheme had never been paid by cheque, Mr 8.. Hinds, vice-chairman of the board, said that he used to have cheques returned with tie statement, “I have signed your receipt. Will you please send the money?”
