The Timaru High School Old Boys advertise their re-union dinner and smoke concert to be held on Saturday next, the night of the Waitaki match. No trouble has been spared by the committee to ensure the success of this function and old boys can be assured of a good night's entertainment. Tickets are now available. At 2.30 p.m. on Thursday next at “Came,” 17 Sealy Street, A. N. Oakey and Co., will submit to auction under instructions from the trustees of the late Mrs Jessy Rhodes, her “Buick” 8cylinder 4-door saloon car which is equal to new. the mileage being under 15,000. The firm also gave preliminary notice of an important auction sale of choice and valuable furniture which will be held at “Otiritirl,” Page’s Road on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 17 and 18 on account of the Perpetual Trustees Estate and Agency Company as executors of the will of the late Mrs Florence Edgar-Jones. The sale comprises the contents of 16 rooms and full particulars will appear in a later issue. Messrs Runciman, Pryor, Ltd., advise an auction sale at the Wentworth Auction Mart next Wednesday at 1.30 p.m. of the contents of a 5-roomed bungalow, also on Friday next, at 11 o’clock at Dalgety’s wool store, Fraser Street, of 250 sheets of roofing iron and skylights. On Friday, July 23, at 2.30 p.m. In their Mart, Morton and Co., Ltd., will offer by public auction acting under the instructions of Mrs H. J. Sterndale, her property in Wai-iti Road. The property is on the corner of Wai-iti Road and Preston Street and is in a very sunny position. A small amount of money spent on the house would make It a very desirable property. Attention is drawn to the railway advertisement appearing in this issue giving particulars of excursion fares and train arrangements in connection with the Hunt Club's races at Timaru on July 24. Entries for the Papakaio ploughing match, to be held on August 5, close on Saturday, July 31.

The Ctltic Football Club’s annual ball is to be held in St. Patrick's Hall, Browne Street, next Wednesday evening. An excellent programme has been arranged and the event promises to be an outstanding success.
