CHARGE OF THEFT
UNION SECRETARY SENTENCED By Telegraph -Press Association AUCKLAND, July 16. Sentence of 12 months' reformative detention was imposed by Mr Justice Fair in the Supreme Court on Charles Gordon Lindsay for the treft of £6O while secretary of the Auckland Drivers’ and Related Trades’ Union to which charge he pleaded guilty. Accused was not represented by counsel and had nothing to say. His Honour said the prisoner had a previous conviction for theft in 1928, but in view of the long period which had elapsed he would not take that into account.
