Mr V. S. Forbes, vice-principal of the College for Indian Princes at Raipur, who is spending his leave in New Zealand, is making the Hermitage, Mount Cook, his holiday quarters.
The Rev. C. E. Willis, curate of Oxted in the diocese of Southwark, is coming out to New Zealand to be vicar of Miramar-Seatoun. The Rev. W. J. Durrad is going from Featherston to Khandallah, the Rev. J. T. Holland, son of the Bishop of Wellington, is coming out from Huddersfield, where he is curate of the parish church, to be vicar of Featherston.
Mr F. W. Reed, Whangarei, who is recognised as an authority on Dumas, has been awarded a silver medallion by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in recognition of services rendered to French literature in English-speaking countries. Three years ago, Mr Reed was awarded the decoration of Officier de I’lnstruction Publique for his services to French literature.
Dr. C. J. Rolls, one of the founders of the New Zealand Bible Training Institute, returned to New Zealand by the Niagara from Sydney this week, after spending six months on a lecturing tour throughout Australia in the interests of the Sudan Interior Mission. He will leave again lor Sydney in about six weeks’ time, having accepted the position of dean of the Missionary and Bible College, Croydon, near Sydney.
