YOUNG FARMERS

MAUNGATI CLUB The third meeting of the Maungati Young Farmers’ Club was held in the School. Mr T. L. Dale presiding over an attendance of 27 members. A most instructive address was given by Mr W. Duncan of Timaru, who spoke on “How to conduct a meeting.” After his address, Mr Duncan took the chair and put through the club’s business as a demonstration. The Club accepted an invitation to visit Lyalldale at an early date to witness a demonstration by Mr Lukey of the Department of Agriculture, on the serum injection treatment of ewes for pulpy kidney in lambs. At the conclusion of the meeting supper was handed round. The next meeting of the Club will be held early in August, when the address for the evening will be on “Farm Accountancy.”
