ENRAGED AT JUDGE'S DECISION United Press Association—By Electric Tel egraph - Copyrl ght MARSEILLES, July 14. The race-course at Pont de Vivaux was wrecked by punters, enraged at the judge’s decision when the starting barrier rose faultily, enabling an outsider to romp home. When the name was posted, the crowd, Infuriated, fired the hedges slashed branches and demolished the tote, only sparing the concrete grandstand.
It wifi be many weeks before the course can be used again. Several police and demonstrators were Injured.
