FORGERY ALLEGED
ACCUSED REMANDED By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, June 24. In the Magistrate’s Court to-day, Albert Fergus Stanley Hickey (38), company manager, was charged that on or about March 25, knowing that a certificate dated May 29, 1928, to be forged, purporting to be under the hand of the Melbourne University Registrar, certifying that Albert Fergus Stanley Patten, who has since reverted to the paternal name of Hickey, had complied with the regulations of the degree of Bachelor of Science, and qualified for admission to the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, he attempted to cause Charles John Drake to act on it as genuine. There was also a charge of attempted suicide. Tire police said the accused was arrested this morning, and the remand they sought was granted.
