METHODIST CHURCH
ANNUAL MEETING At the annual meeting of the members of St. Paul’s Methodist Church, the Rev. H. L. Richards presided over a good attendance. Reports were received from the minister of the church, the Rev. H. L. Richards, the circuit steward, Mr R H White, and the secretary and treasurer of the Trust Board. Mr Arthur Celenmts. The meeting unanimously adopted the reports and expressed the appreciation of the services rendered
to the church by the officials of the various organisations. The election of officers resulted: Stewards, Messrs F. Nash, W. P. Wilson, A. Clements, J. Warren, J. Johns, C. Bennington, M. Joyce, E. B. Wright, D. Tooley, R. AUlngton; representatives to quarterly meetings, Mesdames Seal, Wilson and Morrison; Sacramental stewards, Mesdames Preece and Nash; minister’s steward, Mr J. I. Hayman; H.M. secretary, Mrs M. Preece; F.M. secretary, Mr R. Allington. The roll call revealed a membership of 151, as against 108 last year. Satisfaction was expressed by the Circuit steward, Mr R. H. White, and Mr A. Clements on the progress of the Church and the work of the Rev. H. L. Richards as minister. Tentative arrangements were discussed for celebrating the anniversary, which will take place in the early spring.
