Twelve of the chorus men who worked with Eleanor Powell in “Born to Dance” had been boxers and wrestlers, and so many of the dancing girls become engaged during the filming of the picture, that Eleanor presented a cookery book to each one.
Captain D’Arcy Rutherford, formerly of the Scots Guards, more recently resident of St. Moritz, Switzerland, has been signed by Wesley Ruggles to act as technical adviser on “I Met Him In Paris” starring Claudette Colbert.
Ann Sothern and Gene Raymond will be teamed in Radio’s “The Muddled Deal.” The story has been written by the author of “Trouble in Paradise."
Larry Adler, now in Hollywood for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s “Broadway Melody of 1937,” will also play his mouth-organ in Warners’ “The Singing Marine.”
