INTER-SCHOOL GAME By Telegraph—Press Association DUNEDIN, June 23. The annual match between the Otago and Southland Boys’ High Schools was played at Carisbrook today in fine weather. Southland winning by 12 points to six. Southland proved much the better team, and it was only The wonderful display by the Otago full-back, Paterson, that prevented the visitors score from being much heavier. The game was fast and open and Lamb, the Southland half, gave a fine display, feeding his backs cleverly. The first spell ended with scores even. Otago opened the score with a try by Hunt at the end of a passing bout and Southland evened with a penalty goal by Fyffe. In the second spell Connolly. Ritchie and Fyffe scored for Southland, and Scott a. try for Otago. SELECTION OF TRIAL TEAMS By Telegraph —Press Association WELLINGTON, June 23. The executive of the New Zealand Rugby Union decided to-night, to have the teams for the North and South Island match on July 10 selected on the evening of June 30. The Boys’ High School third and fourth grade teams have defaulted their matches on Saturday to Geraldine and Temuka respectively. THIRD SOCCER TEST By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, June 23.
