The Prime Minister of New Zealand (Mr Savage), conferred on migration with Mr Malcolm Macdonald (Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs), which concluded a series of important talks on this subject. Mr Macdonald arranged to send full particulars of the organisation and types of people available when New Zealand is ready to resume migration. It Is understood that this wall include assisted passages and other forms of financial aid to New Zealand. He stressed that Britain would prefer to send out young men and that New Zealand would train them for farm work. Mr Savage pointed out that his Government was moving very rapidly, and had already reduced unemployment considerably. When local employables were in work he would be ready to discuss bringing out English people. The Government was wholeheartedly behind the idea of the resumption of migration.
