BOWLINE
KIA TOA CLUB’S PURCHASE An additional bowling green at a total cost of about £6OO has been decided upon by the Kia Toa Bowling Club, which at a special general meeting of members on Monday decided to proceed with the proposal to lay down a second green adjoining the present one. An area of 123 ft by 166 ft at the west of the playing area has been acquired at a cost of £195, and the work of laying down the green has been commenced. It is estimated that the total cost of the new green will be about £6OO, inclusive of the price of the sections, and it is hoped to have the new area in playing order for the 1939 season.
