Mrs Rich presided at the annual meeting of the Cave Women’s Institute. Members stood in silence for a moment in memory of Mrs Bibby. Miss Aymes presented Mrs Rich with a dainty posy in appreciation of her services to the Institute during the year, Mrs Rich read tire report on the year’s work and Mrs Brown read the balance sheet. It was decided not to enter a table at the Fairlie Show. Miss D. Walton gave a very interesting talk on her Continental tour also displaying a variety of souvenirs collected during her travels. The following committee was then elected. —Miss Aymes (president), Mrs Weavers and Miss E. Robinson (secreties), Mrs Rich (treasurer), Mesdames Malthus, Hart, Young, Moses, Misses Clark, McPherson and Wisely. The following were the hostesses: Mesdames J. Scott, Eagle and Aymes and Misses Aymes and Scott. Miss Walton presented the prizes for the year as follows.—Mrs L. Gray 1, Mrs Rich 2, Mrs Malthus 3. The monthly competition were won as follows.—Coloured hand work: Miss E. Robinson 1, Mrs McPherson 2, Mrs Rich 3. Premier bloom: Mrs McPherson 1, Mrs Wisely 2, and Miss Moses 3. Bowl of flowers: Mrs Malthus 1 and 2, Miss Weavers 3. Fancy biscuits: Mrs W. Little 1, Mrs Gray 2, Miss Wisely 3, Competitions for April are: Iced coffee sandwich, marrow and premier bloom.
