Mr H. C. Fabling (Christchurch) is a guest at the Empire.
The appointment of Captain R. A. Anderson, M.C., as adjutant at Wigram aerodrome is announced.
Messrs W. M. Horton (Palmerston North), K. Quinn (Dunedin) and R. King (Christchurch) are staying at the Dominion.
Messrs C. E. Holmes, G. E. Anstice (Christchurch), George Wallace and Elliott Lloyd (Sydney) are staying at the Grosvenor.
Messrs A. E. Lee (Auckland), E. R. Beacham (Sydney) and E. H. Marriner (Christchurch) are registered at the Grand.
Mr C. A. Norris, C.8.E., general manager of the National Mutual Life Association, is on a short business visit to New Zealand.
Mr L. Cross, formerly general secretary of the Wanganui branch of the Y.M.C.A., has been appointed physical director at the Hamilton branch of the Association.
Mr A. J. Tyson, accountant in the Christchurch branch of the Bank of Australasia, and formerly manager at Paeroa and Newton, Auckland, has been appointed manager at New Plymouth.
Mr E. 8. Hobson has been appointed to the position on the staff of John McGlashan College, Dunedin, rendered temporarily vacant during the absence of Mr J. A. Dunning, who has been selected as a member of the New Zealand cricket team to visit England. Mr Hobson was educated at Southland Boys’ High School and at Otago University, where he had a distinguished record.
