AUSTRALIAN STOCK EXCHANGES United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received March 17, 10.0 p.m.) SYDNEY, March 17. The fall in tin prices caused an easier tendency in shares on the Stock Exchange to-day. A weaker trend was also apparent in regard to Barriers and Mount Lyells. Woolworths ordinaries slumped on the announcement of a new issue of 84,394 £1 ordinary shares, in proportion of one to ten, but the market was inclined to firm at the close.
