TIMARU LADIES’ CLUB The Timaru Ladies’ Golf Club officially opened the season on Tuesday afternoon. The weather was beautifully fine, and ah present spent a most enjoyable afternoon. The president (Mrs L. E. Finch) extended a welcome to visitors and members, and expressed a hope that the season would be a successful one. The clubroom which was artistically decorated by Miss Torlesse presented a gay appearance with hydrangeas and dahlias, and the tea tables with bowls of mixed Howers. A medal foursome was played over 14 holes. The prizes, which were given by the president and the captain (Miss J. Horwell) were won by Mrs H. J. Ward (Glen-iti Club) and Miss Manchester. The prizes given by the vicepresident, Mrs Hawkes and Mrs Kerr were won by Mrs Foote and Mrs Sowerby. The best scores returned
