TIMARU CLUB The following is the result of the President’s Fours, rowed over the long course.— R. O. Foster (s), D. Wilcox, C. Johnstone, J. Ford beat L. Bennington (s), R. Brown, R. O’Connor, P. Pawson by half a length. W. Davies (s), L. Downward, J. McKinnon, F. Wright; v. W. Wood (si, H. Graham, K. Hutchison, R. O'Connor resulted in a dead heat and on being rerowed Davies won by a length. S. O'Hara (s), J. Provan, E. Crisp, A. McKay v. H. Tapp (s), W. Halliday, S. Palmer, F. Neill resulted in a dead heat, and on being rerowed O’Hara’s crew won by one and a half lengths. Semi-final W. Davies beat Foster by two lengths. Final W. Davies beat S. O’Hara. A southerly sea was running, and from a good start Davies led to the mouth of the harbour by one length, and came on down the Wharves to win by two lengths.
