The Awahou is now due to-morrow from the south to load for Wellington and New Plymouth. Tile Storm on the Wellington and Wanganui run, is set down to arrive on Saturday from Dunedin. Three New Motor Ships Two of the largest motor ships built in the United Kingdom last year are the refrigerated cargo vessels Essex and Sussex, on hand at John Brown and Co.'s Clydebank, for the New Zealand Shipping Company Ltd. The Essex, launched in September, is being fitted out, and the Sussex was put into the water on November 17. They have a gross tonnage of 11,500, and each is fitted with two sets of Brown-Doxford cil engines developing 13,000 b.h.p. on twin screws. These ere the highest powered Doxford Diesels ever constructed. Another order for a cargo motor ship has keen placed by the New Zealand Shipping Company with Alexander Stephen and Sons, Linthouse, who have built a large amount of tonnage for service in New Zealand and Australian waters.
