A gift of £lOO to the Cathedral for such subjects as the Cathedral Chapter may think fit is announced in the “Church News." The allocation of the balance has yet to be considered. H. Alichurch and Co. will hold a clearing sale of superior household furniture and effects on Wednesday. March 24, on behalf of The Trustees, Executors and Agency Co. of N.Z., Ltd. in the estate oi the late Thos. Thomson. The sale will be held at the residence, Ti Ora, Stafford Street North. Details will be advertised later. The Plunket Society is holding a Paddy's Market on Friday, at Wentworth Hall, at 9.30 a.m. Parcels may be left at the hall, on Thursday at 2.30 p.m. Also cakes and produce for sale.
