TRAIN HITS CAR
A FORTUNATE MOTORIST Ey a q ai h-intinn WELLINGTON, March 9. A collision occurred at 8.33 p.m. between a goods train travelling to Wellington and a light car driven by Samuel Howell, of Levin. The car was turned over several times, but the occupant escaped with bruises only. The accident occurred at Levin The driver of the train noticed the car from about two train lengths away and applied the emergency brakes, which lessened the impact.
