QN MARCH 13 special passenger train stopping at certain stations leaves Christchurch 8.3 a.m., arriving Timaru Racecourse 11.12 a.m. Return train stopping at Washdyke to pick up and at Temuka, Orari and Hinds to set down, leaves Timaru 8.28 p.m., arriving Christchurch 8.50 p.m. TIMARU - RACECOURSE: Special trains leave Timaru for the Racecourse at 11.6 a.m., 11.33 a.m., 12.8 p.m. and 12.40 p.m., returning from Racecourse at 5.30 p.m. Special trains to the Racecourse will stop at the road crossing leading from Evans Street to the Tennis Courts and at Smithfield to pick up passengers and the return special will stop to set down. TIMARU-ASHBURTON: Usual 11.36 a.m. train for Ashburton leaves Timaru 11.42 a.m. Usual 5.12 p.m. train for Ashburton will be passenger train, observing usual stoppages, and will leave Timaru 5.34 p.m. arriving Ashburton 7.31 p.m. FAIRLIE BRANCH: Evening train leaves Timaru at 415 p.m., Racecourse, 5.25, arriving Fairlie 7.21 p.m. / TIMARU-OAMARU; The morning Timaru-Oamaru train will run EARLIER from Studholme leaving there at 8.50 a.m., Morven 9.8 a.m., thence as usual. Usual 7.25 a.m. train for Timaru runs as a FAST PASSENGER and leaves Oamaru 8.45 a.m., arriving Timaru 10.47 a.m. Connects at Studholme with motor for Waimate. Usual 4.44 p.m. train runs as a FAST PASSENGER and leaves Timaru 6.25 p.m., arriving Oamaru 8.26 p.m. (connects at Studholme with motor for Waimate). SPECIAL FARES TO TIMARU: Special excursion tickets will be issued to Timaru from Fairlie, Waimate, Oamaru and intermediate stations on direct line of route by trains arriving Timaru up to 10.47 a.m. on March 13, available for return up to and including Monday, March 15. Also special fare (Rail only) to Timaru Racecourse by 8.3 a.m. special from Christchurch as follows: Available to Racecourse and back via Washdyke direct on day of issue from Hinds 6/10 and 4/8; Orari 3/11 and 2/6; Temuka 2/9 and 1/9.
