The Surrey The Surrey is now due on Monday from Port Chalmers to load frozen meat, wool and general cargo for London. She should sail the next day for New Plymouth. Rangitata Reports The New Zealand Shipping Company has received a wireless message from the motor-liner Rangitata, en route from London to Wellington, via Kingston and the Panama Canal, reporting that she expects to arrive at Wellington at 7 a.m. on March 12. She will later proceed to Auckland to complete discharge. Tainui Clears Colon The Sh&w, Savill Company has received cabled advice that the liner Tainui cleared Colon on Sunday. She left Wellington on February 7 for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal and Kingston. Dominia Sold The Dominia, the twin screw cable ship, has been sold by the Telegraph Construction Company, London, to the Soviet Government. The price paid has not been disclosed, but it is understood that the vessel was sold through the agency of Messrs Harley and Co., London. The ship is to be converted into an ordinary cargo vessel. The Dominia, which is the largest \ 'rsel of her kind in the world, was built and engined by Swan, Hunter, and Wigham Richardson, in 1926, and has a gross and net’ tonnage of 9273 and 4913 respectively. Her dimensions are: Length b.p. 488.9 ft, breadth 59ft and depth 37.4 ft. Her greatest feat of cable laying was accomplished in 1926 on her maiden voyage, when she duplicated t? ? cable between Vancouver and Fanning Islands, in the Pacific, a distance of over 3500 nautical miles.
