A dispute over the conditions of employment of four men in the despatch department of the Westfield chemical manure works of Kempthorne Prosser and Company’s New Zealand Drug Company, Limited, resulted in a complete Stoppage of work in the department shortly after 11 a.m., when about 80 men walked off their jobs. A meeting of the meh was subsequently held, and the secretary of the Otahuhu Chemical Manure Workers’ Union Mr W.
