HEAD INJURIES
THROWN FROM CYCLE By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, December 28. A well-known motor cycle racer, Charlie Goldberg, was brought to Auckland by launch from Walheke Island this afternoon with head injuries. He was practising in the early morning on the Onetangi Road with other riders for the tourist trophy on New Year’s Day, and later was found lying on the roadside. An urgent message was sent to Auckland for a launch. In the meanwhile he was attended by a member of the St. John Ambulance Brigade stationed on the island.
