BOWLING
RAIN PREVENTS PLAY Owing to heavy rain, it was found impossible to play on any of the greens in Tirnaru yesterday, and the programme for the day, rinks and pairs, had to be postponed. If the weather is fine this morning the concluding rounds of the pairs will be played on the Park green. The singles were to have been played today, but have been put back a day. Four rinks still remain in—Adams (Phoenix, Oamaru), Healey (Waimate), Currie (West End) and L. Dewar (Park). The two outside rinks were in town yesterday, but were unable to play. The Centre has decided to allow the Oamaru and Waimate rinks to play at Waimate, if Waimate is agreeable, the winner to come to Timaru to meet the winner of the two Timaru rinks.
