INTOXICATED IN CHARGE OF CAR Bv Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND. December 26. An engineer John William Hogan (30). whose car collided with a taxi on Christmas Eve, was arrested o. a charge of intoxication i The police said the accused’s car suddenly turned to the left into Union Street, on the wrong side, and collided with a taxi almost head on. Both cars were extensively damaged. He was fined £2O and disqualified, from driving for welve months, the magistrate remarking that It was accused’s good fortune that nobody was killed.
