The Otago Yacht Association decided to select a new crew, and challenge boat to compete in the Sar.ders Cup race, in view of the crew originally selected deciding not to accept the conditions laid down by the Association, and the owner not being willing to place the boat at the Association’s disposal, it was decided not to challenge for the Cornwall Cup.
