STAGE STARS MARRIED
VICTOR OLIVER AND SARAH CHURCHILL United Press Association—By Elactrlo Telegraph—Copyright (Received December 25, 7 p.m.) NEW YORK, December 24 Victor Oliver, stage comedian, and Miss Sarah Churchill were married in the chapel of a marriage license bureau. They became naturalised American citizens two days ago. The pair later sailed on the Aquitania. The bride wore a 44 carat diamond engagement ring and a plain platinum marriage band. Miss Churchill explained: “Father did not want me to marry unless I retained my British citizenship. As it is I am still British and travel on a British passport.” Oliver said he had received a cablegram of congratulation from Mr and Mrs Winston Churchill. “My wife will resume her stage career when she returns to America,” Oliver said.
