THE FREER CASE
SPECIAL INQUIRY NOT PROPOSED United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received November 27, 9.30 p.m.) CANBERRA, November 27. It not the intention of the Commonwealth Government to institute a special tribunal to investigate the Freer case. This announcement was made in the House of Representatives to-day by Dr Earl Page (Minister of Commerce and acting-Prime Minister) in reply to a question by a Government supporter, Mr Jennings.
