CHANCE FIND
HUMAN SKELETON By Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, November 27. A complete human skeleton was unearthed near Gore Bay to-day by workmen engaged in widening the road. No clothing or other articles were found with the skeleton, which it is presumed, although so far without the corroboration of expert opinion, to be that of a Maori. The skeleton was found three feet below the surface 30 feet above sea level in the sandhills. The knees were drawn closely up to the body under the chin. The head is described as square jawed and low browed. The teeth are in perfect condition. The police have been notified and will investigate.
