FAREWELL PARTIES
On Thursday afternoon, Miss Marion Hay entertained at her flat in Wai-iti Road the friends of Miss Daisy Sharp, who is leaving shortly to stay with her brother, Mr H. Sharp, Wellington. In February, Miss Sharp will leave on a trip to England. Miss Hay received her guests wearing a frock of fawn and brown striped ninon and Miss Sharp wore a navy blue coat and skirt with a beige blouse and a blue hat.
The drawing-room was arranged with Oriental and Iceland poppies with sweet-peas and pink roses in the din-ing-room.
Miss Sharp was the guest of honour yesterday when Mrs A. Grant, “Aigantighe,” Wai-iti Road, was hostess at a very enjoyable afternoon. Lupins and peonies decorated the hall with roses 'n the drawing-room and bowls of sweet peas arranged in the dining-room where afternoon tea was served.
