AUSTRALIAN TEST TEAM RECEPTION OF SELECTION United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, November 26. The actual twelfth man in the Australian team to meet the Englishmen has not been named. The Board of Control is to choose the captain, who is certain to be Bradman.
The umpires are J. D. Scott (South Australia) and G. Borwick (New South Wales). It is not yet known whether McCormick will be fit to play. The torn muscle in his leg is still causing pain.
The only material difference of opinion between the selectors and former internationals concerns the choice of Sievers.
V. Y. Richardson says the “inclusion of Sievers rivalled Wotan’s Melbourne Cup win in the amazement it caused.”
