LAMBERTON WINS 50 MILE CHAMPIONSHIP By Telegraph—Press Association DUNEDIN, October 4. The New Zealand 50 mile road cycling championship held on the Taieri yesteerday afternoon was won by W. J. Lamberton (Christchurch), who gained fastest time from the scratch mark, completing the course in 2hr llmin 23sec. Second fastest time went to A. Clemence 2hr 12min 17sec. The first man home was A. Mackie, (Kaitangata), who led all the way, finishing 51 seconds ahead of C. Gread (Christchurch).
