DISCUSSION TO BE RESUMED TO-DAY (From Our Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON, September 28. The Government’s taxation proposals as defined in the Land and Income Tax Amendment Bill and the Annual Taxing Bill will again be the subject of debate to-morrow when the House of Representatives rest_aes after the customary week-end recess. Several Opposition members nave not yet taken part in the discussions, notably the Rt. Hon. J. G. Cotes, Messrs W. J. Broadfoot, J. Hargest and V. A. Bodkin. The indications are that the greater part of to-n.orrow’s sitting will be required for the completion >f the second reading of the two Bills, and then a fairly protracted committee discussion is likely. According to an announcement made this evening by the Prime Minister (Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) the debate c.l the Industrial Efficiency Bill will be commenced as soon as the two taxation bills are passed. Mr Savage sa d it was possible that one or two Local Bills might intervene, but most "f those which had been introduced w. c at present before the Local Bills Committee.
