FIVE DAY WEEK
WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, September 24. A committee of the Mayor and chairmen of committees was this afternoon appointed by the Wellington City Council to bring in the five-day week in the Council offices, where possible. It was explained in a report concerning the proposal that an extra half-hour of work on ordinary days would be necessary if employees were to be free on Saturdays.
