AVIATION MATTERS
PRELIMINARY DISCUSSION (From Our Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON, September 24. Preliminary discussion on civil aviation matters, including the extension of the Croydon-Brisbane air mail to New Zealand, took place to-day at Parliament House. Mr F. G. L. Bertram, of the civil branch of the British Air Ministry, met the Prime Minister (Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage) and members of the Cabinet Committee which will carry on the discussions, in which an Australian delegation, now in Wellington, • will take part. The New Zealand Ministers concerned are the Hons. W. Nash, F. Jones, R. Semple, and P. Fraser. Mr G. McNamara and Wing-Commander Wilkes (Director of Aviation) were also in attendance. The main conference will commence to-morrow at Parliament buildings.
