Mr M. A. McGregor (Oamaru) is staying at the Grand. Mr J. W. Fair, of Timaru, has left London on a tour of Central Europe. He will leave for New Zealand in October. Captain Robert Don Oliver has been appointed honorary naval aide-de-camp on the staff of the Governor-General (Viscount Galway). To study first-hand the marketing methods of the New South Wales poultry industry, Mr E. J. Fawcett, farm economist in the Department of Agriculture, left Wellington yesterday for Sydney. Messrs P. H. Wake (Wellington), H. L. Gibson, C. D. McKenzie, J. E. Swan (Dunedin), E. S. Brittenden (Christchurch) and R. White (Auckland) are staying at the Dominion. At the Grosvenor are Messrs W. A. James, G. Wilhelmson, W. Holmes, H. E. Clark (Dunedin), R. C. Jones, J. Montague (Wellington), S. G. Dillon (Christchurch) and C. H. Sykes (Canterbury). Visitors to Timaru staying at the Empire are: Messrs A. McCutcheon (Christchurch), R. E. Burrows, W. Neilson, W. A. Jenkins, P. E. Mathieson, J. Richardson (Dunedin), C. J. Talbot (Fairlie), W. Reid (Oamaru), J. Munro, D. Munro (Hawarden), S. Frew, A. Burke (Amberley), H. McMillan, J. Davis, 11. Rawlinson and W, Weston (Ross). The death of Mr E. R. Isaac was referred to at yesterday’s meeting of tire Timaru Harbour Board by the chairman (Mr T. B. Garrick), who said that Mr Isaac was one of the most up-to-date shipping men on the Board, and was a valuable member for many years. The following motion was carried: "That the Board place on record its regret at the death of Mr Isaac, who had been a member of the Board from January, 1920. to March, 1933, and extends to his widow and family its deep sympathy.”
