PRESENTATION FROM CITIZENS By leleurrnnh Prosp Assnrlntion HOKITIKA, September 3. At a public gathering of citizens in the Town Hall last evening, the Deputy-Mayor, Mr Leslie Michel, presiding, the Mayor of Hokitika, Mr George Albeit Perry, 0.8. E., was presented with a handsome illuminated address and a substantial piece of silver plate in recognition of 25 years’ continuous service as Mayor of the town. Very complimentary references w’ere made to his valued services to the town and district over a period of years. He is the first Hokitika-born Mayor of the town.
