There was another keen sale at Addington to-day, both fat cattle and fat sheep more than maintaining the high rates of the last sale. Store sheep: 2,400 were penned, mostly hoggets. Adult wethers sold to . 27/7, two-tooth Romney ewes to 37/3, sound and F.M. ewes to 26 2 and ewe hoggets to 33. 9. Fat sheep: 4.000 were penned. Ewes were dearer by 1 6 to 2- a head, heavy I wethers unchanged and lighter wethers scarcely so strong. Extra good wethers scld to 44 1. good 34 - to 37 -, prime i 28 - to 33 -, best ewes 30 - to 41/-, I medium 25 - to 29 -. ordinary’ 21/- to ! Fat cattle: 408 were penned. Best | steers made £l7 10 - to £2O 17 6, good I £l4 to £l7. light £9 to £l2. best heifers Ito £l3 10 good £8 10 -to £ll/10/-, I best cows £lO to £l4 5 -. good £B/10/to £9 15 -. j Fat pigs: There was a good market. STUDHOLME STOCK SALE SATISFACTORY PRICES There was a small yarding of fat cattle at the Studholme Junction sale yesterday, but prices realised were particularly good and well up to. if not in advance of. those at previous sales. Little quality was offering in the store cattle section, and sales were made accordingly. In the sheep section there were only five pens of fats, mainly plain sorts. Tn the store pens several lines of ewes were forward, together with a pen of wether hoggets. Prices ranged from 12/- to 26/- and were satisfactory. Sales were: Ewes: 95 at 22/7, 28 at 12/-, 73 at 23/6, 42 at 26/-. Wether hoggets: 33 at 20/7, 4 at 23/10, 6 at 21/3, 12 wethCattle: Fat cows £4 to £6 12s Gd, fat heifers £2 5s to £4 7s 6d, springing heifers to £4 7s 6d, empty heders to £3 12s, steers £2 10s to £7 10s.
