HIGH COMMISSIONER’S FIRST ACT United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received September 2, 1.12 a.m.) LONDON, September 1 Mr W. J. Jordan's first act on taking over the High Commisionership to-day was to place a wreath on the Cenotaph on behalf of the Parliament and people of New Zealand. The staff of New Zealand House last night bade farewell to Sir James Parr, and welcomed Mr Jordan, who conveyed greetings from the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage).
