AUCKLAND-WELLINGTON EXPRESS DERAILED.— The Auckland-Wellington express was derailed by a slip in the vicinity of Paraparaumu on Sunday morning. The photograph was taken shortly after the accident, in which one person was seriously injured and several others received minor injuries. The above is a general view of the derailed engine and smashed coach, showing the proximity of the scene of the accident to the main North Road, about a quarter of a mile south of the railway station at Paraparaumu.
