PRESENTATIONS

Miss Adelaide Allchurch, who will leave this week for Wanganui was entertained by the staff of the Waimataitai School, when the headmaster, Mr S. H. Sullivan, presented her with a clock. Mr R. Allen and Mr Price also spoke. Miss Allchurch suitably replied. On Monday evening Miss Allchurch was the guest of honour at a social evening held at the home of Mr and Mrs F. Oxford, Beverley Road, when Chalmers Junior Choir, of which Miss Allchurch has been the conductor for a number of years, took the opportunity of bidding her farewell and presented her with a pair of book ends as an appreciation of the good work she had done. Misses Margaret Rennie and Nancy Knott made the presentation and Miss Allchurch suitably replied. Miss Brenda Wishart thanked Mr and Mrs Oxford for the use of their home.
