TIMARU UNPLACED By Telegraph Pres* AssontatJon DUNEDIN, August 31. In the presence of an audience of more than 2000 persons the Dunedin Competitions Society’s choral contest was decided to-night. There were seven entries, including choirs from Oamaru, Timaru and Christchurch. Tire prizes offered amounted to £l4O, with a first prize o f £lOO. The awards of the judges, Mr Adolph Maun (Trinity College, London), Mr Victoria C. Peters (Christchurch) and Mr Claude H. Davies (Christchurch) were.— Ernest Drake’s Students Choir (Dunedin), 263 points 1 John T. Leech’s Lyric Choir (Dunedin), 261 points 2 Christchurch Orpheus Choir, 257 pts 3
