Sir James Parr gave a luncl eon at the Savoy to the staff of New Zealand House, and representatives of the Produce Boards and shipping companies, for the purpose of meeting vlr W. J. Jordan. Sir James Parr interviewed by “The Daily” Herald” said: “I’m a tired man. I’m at liberty to remain in office until January, but it suits me to retire now. I am anxious to return to New Zealand as soon as possible.”
