TROLLEY AND RAIL-CAR COLLIDE By Telegraph—Pres? association GREYMOUTH, August 29. At Aickens this morning a collision occurred between a ganger’s motortrolley and a rail-car. A ganger named Payne was patrolling the line when f ’ie trolley struck a branch of a tree which had been breueht down by the wind. Payne was thrown from the trolley, but escaped injury. The trolley continued on its way, but after going two miles the engine apparently stopped, and the trolley started to run down the grade to Aickens. The rail-car driver was warned, but was unable to avoid a collision. The only damage to the railcar was a bent cow-catcher.
